摘 要

城市园林绿化对改善和提高城市环境质量具有重要的作用，是城市生态环境建设的重要内容，它与人们的工作、生活密切相关，直接影响人们的身心健康，而且是留给外来者的“第一印象”，直接影响城市外在形象。因而，城市绿化是城市文明程度和开发程度的重要标志，也是走可持续发展道路和构建和谐社会的重要措施。

自 2008 年来，张家港市围绕高标准建设“协调张家港”、“绿色张家港”宏伟目的，以改善人居、优化生态、提升绿量为目标，以创建“国家生态园林城市”为抓手，全力推进城乡绿化建设，建成了一大批重点绿化工程，全市绿地面积、人居生态环境、绿化品位、城市形象进一步提升。做好张家港市的园林绿化工作，有着比较深刻的意义。张家港市近几年来，大力发展园林绿化，城市的绿化取得了长足的发展。发展过程有好的经验值得总结和借鉴，也有些教训值得引以为鉴。张家港市委、市政府提出了建设“富裕张家港、文化张家港、生态张家港、平安张家港”的宏伟目标，对园林绿化提出更高的要求。张家港市园林绿化在城市整体建设中的重要地位不断加强，因此，为了使园林绿化持续健康发展，有必要对张家港市园林绿化的发展进行研究，探讨如何使城市园林绿化与城市建设同步协调发展，如何提高城市园林绿化建设水平，满足城市功能的需要，使张家港真正成为环境优美、生态健全、风景独特的风景园林城市。

本课题对张家港市园林绿化发展历史、现状和存在问题进行了研究，对张家港市园林绿化发展的一些关键问题包括大型绿地建设的建议、树种的选择应用等方面提出了自己的看法和建议，研究结果可以为张家港市的园林绿化发展及促进张家港市生态城市的建设提供参考。
